THEORICAL EXERCISES FIRST EVALUATION : PART 1

1-What is strength as basic physical ability? Explain them and give an example of each of them.

Strength as basic physical capacity is defined as the ability to generate intramuscular tension against a resistance, regardless of whether or not it generates movement.

How many types of strength are there?

Maxium strenght: The maxium strenght is the greatest that the neuromuscular system can develop by means of a maxium voluntary contraction. The maxium force will be conditioned by some factors.

Explosive strenght: It is a manifestation of the force that is based on generating as much force as possible in the shortest time without losing efficiency. For this reason this type of force is predominant in most team sports and in some individual sports modalities. This type of strenght is reflected on weight-lifting or when runners start the race.
