The Somali singer K'naan, composer of the song, sings a duo with David Bisbal. The lyrics of the song are in Spanish and English. It are inspired by African customs and refer to feelings as love and optimism between countries through football. K'naan lived for many years in Africa, Somalia, where he met hunger and war, and then he lived in the United States, Canada.
He said that when he was 11 years old and played football in the street with three friends ,some boys fired on the streets and houses. He survived but his three friends didn´t. This is a common experience for many African societies and inspired K'Naan some of the verses of the song.
